Relaxation Retreat is positively aglow with rich, hardwood floors, knotty pine walls, and vaulted ceilings with exposed timber beams along with all the desirable modern conveniences of home. Relaxation Retreat has amble parking to fit 3-4 vehicles.
The open living area has a plush leather sofa, twin matching recliners, and a stone-face gas fireplace. The open concept kitchen has cabinets and drawers stocked with essential cookware and dinnerware, and a full array of appliances including a dishwasher and Keurig. Augment those home-cooked meals with the gas grill located outside on the well-appointed deck. Close by, there’s a dining table with seating for ten and a breakfast bar with with seating for three.
The main floor also includes the romantic and enviable master suite which offers a cozy king-size bed and a large en suite bath with a soothing Jacuzzi tub and separate step-in shower. Downstairs there are two additional bedrooms, including one with a queen bed and the other with two twins plus a full bath. The upstairs loft offers an additional queen and another full bath with a shower. We had a wonderful stay! Communication was friendly and easy, and the place was very clean, neat, and well maintained. The home had a great ambiance and all the amenities were exactly as mentioned.The TVs in every room were a nice addition, and the pool table and arcade games were a big hit with the kids. Our family also really enjoyed the hot tub. The BBQ grill was another great amenity, and having an additional gas cylinder available was very thoughtful and convenient. We also appreciated the coffee maker with coffee pods provided.There was plenty of space for families with children, and the neighborhood was calm and quiet. Parking was very easy, and the location was convenient for driving to Pigeon Forge and other nearby attractions.Overall, a comfortable, spacious, and family-friendly place with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We absolutely loved out stay! The cabin was in a great location where you were outside off the main tourist areas but had easy access anywhere you wanted to go. We loved the cabin as well with enough space to fit 9 adults. Our favorite part was the concrete patio which was a great space for games, basketball, and just hanging out. I would highly recommend staying here for a large group, our only issue was some of the amenities could use some updating. Cd53 days agoThe folks from Maid on the Mountain were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. We were happy they had our interest at heart. A few things would improve the experience. Lights on the steep stairs need attention. A lighting system that can be turned on and off for the sitting area and pickle ball/basketball court would be nice. We didn’t make the trip to the community pool. We loved the hot tub and Pickleball court. We just spent 4 nights here, the location was good but the cabin was not what we expected. It was dirty, lightbulbs burnt out, beds were all very uncomfortable, the hot tub was actually a milky color, only half the burners worked on the BBQ, it was also very crowded with 8 of us, I couldn’t imagine 12 people staying there.The Pickleball court is actually dangerous, there’s cinder blocks around the edge and drop offs, you could easily fall and hit your head, you need to stand inside the court to serve the ball or you’ll hit the chain link fence with your paddle. We came to a very clean place, with *lots* of room for our family of five and two extra guests. All amenities were as expected, and the EV charger is easily accessible and offers at least 40A for those who need to know. It was a fantastic feature and an early filter for us when looking. The fire pit was great, as was the privacy. We really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful, natural surroundings. Great Unifi WiFi, and plenty of amenities that make you feel right at home. The best places are those that make you feel like you belong, and are a place of relaxation and a launchpad for your adventures. This place has exceeded in all regards. Philip W.196 days agoMy son loved the basketball and pickleball court. Was disappointed with the hot tub as 2 of the seats jets didn’t really work. All the showers were very small. The upstairs shower actually leaked into the master bed which was not very much fun.

Lol The layout of the home was great and we had plenty of room. We would’ve liked it better if the showers were larger and would’ve had doors instead of curtains for sanitary reasons. We didn’t get to spend much time at the cabin but did enjoy a short time playing pickle ball which was a great feature along with game room. Tiffany451 days agoThe cabin was beautiful and matched the photos accurately. It is on the same property as one other cabin (which was not rented during our time there) but still felt private when on the deck or in the yard. The pickleball court and fire pit area were really nice! We had a bear visit the back of the cabin on our last night and everyone was thrilled and got some great photos! Heads up that the pool is in an RV park down the road about 20 minutes and was packed; we got there but didn’t swim due to the crowd. It’s very cozy in the living room, we had 7 and felt a bit crowded when all in the living area at once. Todd and Emily are super fast in responding to messages! Overall we would definitely recommend the cabin for a fun, family trip!

Amy467 days agoOverall, our stay was good.i loved the look and feel of the cabin. However, the cleanliness and comfort of all the bed ☺ I loved the location. I loved having the pickleball and the basketball court being right there. The cabin had a cozy, homy feel to it. The cabin was very nice, but the cleaning staff needs to pay more attention to the details and all areas of the facility, including the back deck. ☹ The beds were uncomfortable. The cabin needs a really good deep clean. There was a ton of dirt under the recliner chair, the rug was filthy in the living room area, there were two lamps we could not get to turn on (one did not have a bulb in it). The blinds are layered in a layer of dust. Also, the shower in the loft has a leak…it dripped down into the bedroom below. The hot tub was very cloudy and the black filter as you get in the hot tub would not stay down.

Jennifer751 days agoWe did find areas that could have been cleaner and they offered to send cleaning people back out. I did decline, did not want to be inconvenienced. The grill was in terrible shape and the hot tub was not working. They did send handyman out 2 different days to work on it so it did finally reach temperature on our last night. They were very responsive in communication. The kitchen was very stocked with things needed for preparing food. And the location was great!

Great hot tub, nice pool table (all cues in great condition!!), well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, good a/c, ample parking for 3 vehicles, spacious and able to give downstairs to kids, nearby groceries and Pigeon Forge entertainment, quiet and outside all neighborhoods. Very good wifi. Onsite emergency generator, charging post for electric cars (non-tesla connector, bring adapter). Attractive inside and out (rustic). Towels provided for separate hot tub use. Washer/dryer was very handy. Easy checkin/checkout, responsive hosts. ☹ Would have liked a DVD player. Wished Great Smokies National Park was closer. No cellular service but our phones worked well on the wifi. Gas grill should have been a little cleaner, but we could have cleaned it just by preheating. Brenda839 days agoThe house was beautiful. It was also peaceful and quiet. We had easy access to everything. The only bad thing I can say is that we did not realize the drive was so steep going up to the main level.We got to see a bear at the cabin next door which was a plus. I would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to be close to town and all activities but also want it quiet & peaceful.

Becky877 days agoThe cabin was beautiful, extremely clean, and just like the photos. Todd and Emily were very responsive to my questions. The kitchen had great amenities and the coffee bar was a great touch! Beds were very comfortable and the game room was a hit for adults and children alike. Loved using the hot tub and the fireplace area was so well done! House rules and check out procedures were very reasonable. Ryan921 days agoPROS: Beautifully decorated cabin and very clean! Perfect location - about 15 mins from everything (and very close to a general store/local grocer). Hosts were communicative and instructions/expectations clear and simple. EV charging station and backup generator are very nice accommodations. Very nice fridge. Perfect size for my family of 5 and my parents (7 total). CONS: Main TV is very small and outdated. (In picture but I didn’t notice how small). No TV in one of kid’s bedroom. Burn holes in furniture and kitchen counter top. Years-expired K-Cups. Hot tub takes hours to warm (not sure if that is normal). Sleeps 12 but I can’t imagine having more than 8 without feeling crowded. Comforters were thin and quilt-like and there were no extra linens. Very close to another cabin - was no problem for us, but with the wrong crowd might be different story.All in all it was a great experience and the hosts seem to care a lot.

We are in the process of getting those replaced with brand new quartz.The hot tub is completely flushed and cleaned with every guest so it can take a few hours for it to come up to temperature. If you want something with lots of space, proximity to attractions but the peace of nature - this is the spot! Check in was a breeze, place was lovely… loads of room, all the amenities you need and lovely homely feel. We were there in spring so didn't make great use of the hot-tub. Lots of nature around, great fire pit area, super easy drive… just ticks all the boxes. We had a small group but this place has ample space for multiple families. Not totally remote as near a great road, and other cabins but enough that you are enjoying the gorgeous Tennessee forest. Hosts were excellent. Merry949 days agoThese hosts have a can-do attitude and are quick to communicate clearly. Jumping into action to ensure our stay was great! Kudos to them.Info received on check-in (address, codes, etc) were exact. Easy to follow instructions for the stay as well as clear guidance for check out.Fifteen minutes from main drag in Pigon Forge. All the convenience but in a beautiful setting. No scary mountains to drive up. Road was easy two lanes through some beautiful countryside. There is an easy-to-see sign at the foot of the house's driveway so no difficulty figuring where to turn. The house is just as pictured. Very well appointed kitchen! Beds are comfy. Hot tub clean! Pool table level. Great water pressure (amazing for being on a well). Washer-dryer worked like a champ.House has sleep quarters on three separate levels, and lots of common spaces, so perfect for time together and down time apart. Comfy beds and linens. Ronnalee Os1151 days agoBook your stay now with your family. You will not regret it. In the hospitality business things always are going to go wrong. It’s when they do that you really know what kind of business you’re dealing with. There is a small hiccup in our stay and our hosts went above and beyond to rectify the situation, and it wasn’t anything that they did specifically, it was some thing someone else did it, and they completely took care of the situation went above and beyond, and even if that hadn’t happened I would’ve totally recommended this place. It’s beautiful peaceful comfortable, but the way they handled adversity was amazing so thank you thank you guys for this amazing trip. Meghan1234 days agoTodd and Emily were wonderful hosts and the home is beautifully and privately located. The house was pristine and organized. For whatever reason I didn’t receive my check-in email/text from Air b-n-b until 8 pm the night of our check-in. When I messaged Todd and Emily, they immediately responded with the check-in code and even texted me the Air b-n-b message I never received. It is small things like this which make a huge difference when you are traveling from out of town. Besides the house and hosts being great, the location was perfect for our needs- close enough to where we needed to go but far enough form the traffic and hustle and bustle. It was just a short 15 minute drive to Pigeon Forge with a gas station and country store only 5 minutes away. The home accommodated our family of 6 very comfortably. We had a big furry🐻 that came and visited us😍. The fire pit area was a bonus as well. We loved that it was near things yet tucked away. Austin1368 days agoThis was perfect for our group of 8 where everyone was comfortable with the sleeping arrangements and general space of the cabin. Finding the cabin was easy and the roads leading to it aren’t treacherous mountain roads some other cabins might be on if. The area is outside of the hubbub of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge enough where it’s ultra relaxing while still being close enough to the attractions of the area if that’s the focus of your trip. Close to a gas station, pizza shop, and country store. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone!Posted on Airbnb

Jacquese1502 days agoI’m not sure why our stay was a total conundrum. We tried to make our stay as durable as we possibly could from the stanch coming from the linens, the dirty water, broken amenities and other issues. I made the Host aware of the issue and he sent someone over to fix the problem but we were told the oven couldn’t get fixed, the intense smell of sulphur which smelled like sewage couldn’t be resolved and the TVs couldn’t get repaired. We came to the conclusion that we would just grill our food and just make the best of our stay at that point. I requested a refund for our stay around 2p and that’s when the entire situation got out of hand. The host approved it and said that our credit will be issued upon us leaving. I thanked him and our family went shopping at the outlets. I started to receive calls from a scam likely number around 7p which was unrecognizable and after they called the 4th time a message was left. Once I heard the message I tried to call back and it wouldn’t ring because of how the number looked. After that I checked the Airbnb app and saw messages from Todd which was saying to vacate the premises immediately. I was in total shock because the men were at the house grilling and he was threatening for us to leave. I asked if we could finish cooking, eat our food, pack and then leave and he declined saying that he issued a refund and we need to leave..this was after 8p. He ended up calling the sheriff and issued a complaint saying that we were trespassing. This house is nice aesthetically but has issues that make your stay less than enjoyable. The actions of this host were very distasteful and inconsiderate given the fact that we were inconvenienced. I am extremely upset and unsure if I will ever use AirBNB again.

Jacquese rented our cabin for a family vacation. Unfortunately, our oven broke during her stay after she checked in. We were able to send out a repair technician by 10 am the next morning on a holiday weekend. After working on the oven, a part was needed that would have to be ordered. Per our contractor, Jacquese's guests became verbally abusive with him when he could not repair it. He offered to come back and try again but we did not want him to return to the cabin alone. We offered Jacquese the option to cancel her reservation in exchange for a full refund which she accepted. She was informed and agreed to find alternative accommodations. There was no miscommunication. After leaving the cabin they returned after the reservation was cancelled. Multiple attempts by ourselves and Airbnb could not reach Jacquese as they were now staying unlawfully at our cabin. Attempts by phone, text and Airbnb app messaging were made. After 8 hours of attempting to reach her, Jacquese then demanded they stay for free as it was "too late to leave". Airbnb and myself informed her that the reservation was cancelled and they would have to leave the property. She refused. We unfortunately had to involve the local law enforcement to come to the cabin and request they leave the property as it was now trespassing. We gave Jacquese multiple chances to find alternative housing, but she refused. We would not rent to Jacquese or her group again in the future. We have also reached out to our water filtration company which has fixed the issue to remove the sulfur like smell going forward.Posted on Airbnb

We could not have asked for a better place to stay for our vacation. The basis for the vacation was to celebrate my graduation and I invited a small group of friends. Everyone LOVED this cabin! We all loved all the amenities, loved our rooms, LOVED the hot tub and fire pit and were all in agreeance at the end of the trip that this was a great place to stay. The rest of this review details the why of our ratings so it might seem a little disjointed and will probably be long. Take this first paragraph plus the final one as a TL;DR if you wish. We did have some issues with cleanliness, mostly in the kitchen in the fridge, microwave, and oven. Apparently, the hot tub was pretty disgusting in the day time, didn't really stop people from using it at night, though. One friend found some medical trash under his bed when we were packing up, but other than that, the cabin was pretty clean. I think, if anything, this is a cleaning crew issue, not the hosts'. When I mentioned these issues to the hosts, they were so wonderful about it and I feel very strongly that this was a fluke and it won't happen again so don't let that part of my review scare you. Also speaking of the hosts, they were GREAT about communication, before, during, and after the vacation and we are highly appreciative of the care they put towards renting out their cabin. Driving to the cabin is a little stressful if you're not used to twisty roads as the last 3.5 miles to the cabin (coming in from pigeon forge) is exactly that, we tried to avoid getting back to the cabin after dark because of this. Also, we weren't super close to actual town, very much so in the wilderness (which is exactly what I want from a cabin) so if you're trying to be in the middle of all that Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville has to offer, this isn't the place for you. Also not the place for you if you want to be close to hiking trails as we were a good 30 minutes from most trails. We didn't have any problems driving from our cabin to the edge of Gatlinburg and back, though, this part of Tennessee is so pretty even with all the tourist traps, you won't get bored on a drive. We really did love this cabin and had a great time here, but the cleanliness was just enough of an issue that we couldn't give this place a full 5 stars. I do fully believe though that that was a one time issue and anyone else who rents this place will have a wonderful vacation and fall in love with this cabin just like we have.

Teresa1607 days agoWhat a beautiful and spacious cabin. We had 12 guest and it a spacious enough for all of us. The kitchen is stocked the everything needed to prepare your own meals. The beds were very comfortable. The game room was awesome and was used by kids and adults. The firepit are was clean and had enough area so the kids could run around. The cabin is situated within 30 minutes of most major attractions. Todd and Emily were very gracious hosts. We had 1 minor issue and they responded within the hour and had it taken care of. Chase1649 days agoThis cabin was great for our weekend stay. Not too far from the strip but far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. Plenty of room for the 7 of us. We really liked the pool table and hot tub, Emily even brought us pool chalk when we ran out. Great location and conveniently located to Pigeon Forge, but outside of the city just enough to feel remote. Hosts are incredibly hospitable. Melissa1726 days agoSpent a long weekend with friends. Woke to a beautiful dusting of snow. Great location not far up the mountain, which is great because we all didn't have a 4 wheeled drive. Plenty of room for all of us. Enjoyed the large table where we all could sit and eat and play games. Loved the pool table amd Jenga. We all had a blast playing it. I would recommend for sure.Posted on Vrbo.comAdam C.1729 days agoGood Overall Property was good overall. The grill was not in the greatest shape. When we tried to use it it caught fire. Apparently the bottom hadn’t been properly cleaned in a while. I reached out to the owner and they said that was no good and that they would have the cleaners address it. One of my friends found a pair of womens underwear under his bed when he went searching for a battery he dropped. I reached out to the owners and received no response on this issue. Cabin overall was nice and spacious and in a good location.

The communication from owners was fabulous (just checking in on us to be sure we didn’t need anything — we didn’t as it’s ALL THERE!) property was super clean, easily accessible, and conveniently located to pigeon forge! We will definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend this to cabin to anyone. The only thing of note was there was no reception (Verizon) here … occasionally one bar if on top floor & the WiFi didn’t work well. It was a non issue for this visit, but I frequently have to work on trips and it could definitely be an issue for anyone need to have access to those things. It was quite peaceful this time around. Having bedrooms on 3 different floors was perfect for traveling with our 2 adult daughters. Very peaceful location. We enjoyed the hot tub and the newly added fire pit. At times we didn’t even want or need to leave the cabin for local attractions because the cabin had so much available for us to do. Hot tub, games, fire pit and we even had a hill that we used to workout and run hills we had an amazing time. We went right to the cabin put in the code so no check in required. The cabin was clean and ready when we arrived. Amazing just amazing. Thank our host for making our vacation amazing.

The pictures were a true reflection of how nice the property really was. Plenty of space for my family of 8. The location was great as we could use the Wear Valley or Townsend entrances to the park with no crowds. The cabin had all the amenities, and the managers were quick to respond for any additional help or information. There are two routes to the cabin, and I recommend Chapman Hwy if there has been inclement weather. It snowed prior to our arrival. Hope to be back in the future!

We did have a few minor issues but the cabin and the trip overall was perfect! It was decorated for Christmas and was just precious. The location was easy to get to and our stay was wonderful. Would positively recommend this property!

This was a perfect cabin for our family Thanksgiving getaway. The kitchen was very well stocked and we had everything we needed to make and serve a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. There was enough room for the 7 family members to each have their own beds / space and yet we could all be together for meals and games. We a lot of fun with the old school arcade games, pool table, and board games. And the hot tub was an extra bonus after long days of hiking:)

Queen & King size beds were extremely comfortable! Awesome water pressure! Owners had lots of essentials already there for you! We met my Parent's from Florida, Brother from Indiana and the rest of us from MI. Relaxation Retreat is off Walden’s Creek road next to another cabin for rent in Smoky Mountains. There are no steep roads or mountains to climb to reach the cabin.
